The staff of the Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 anime revealed new cast members for the GGC (Global Game Competition) Arc. A new key visual for Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 was revealed as well.
Yumi Uchiyama joins the cast of Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 GGC Arc as Megumi Natsume, and Minami Takahashi plays the role of Sylvia Goldberg.
Awich performs the new opening theme song “Frontiers,” and CVLTE performs the new ending theme song “realitYhurts.”
Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 premiered on October 13, 2024, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series outside of Japan. The latest arc, titled “The Sky Above, The Spread-Out Sea, Beyond the Abyssal City,” premiered on January 26.
A total of 25 episodes for the first season of the Shangri-La Frontier anime series aired in two cours from October 2023 to March 2024. 13 episodes aired in the first cour, followed by 12 episodes in the second cour.
Katarina began the Shangri-La Frontier web novel series on the “Let’s Be Novelists” website in May 2017. Three years later, the manga adaptation by Ryosuke Fuji began in Weekly Shonen Magazine in July 2020. The anime premiered on October 1, 2023 as a two-cour series.
