These levels will include several new special bots.

    Published:

PlayStation has announced that, starting on February 13, they will release new weekly levels for Astro Bot. These levels will be available for free and will continue until March 13.

The following levels will release on these dates:

    • Feb 13: Tick-Tock Shock
    • Feb 20: Thrust or Bust
    • Feb 27: Cock-A-Doodle-Doom
    • Mar 6: Hard to Bear
    • Mar 13: Armored Hardcore

Check out the trailer for the first of these new weekly levels for Astro Bot, Tick-Tock Shock, below:

According to the PlayStation Blog post, “Unlike our last update Winter Wonder, which was a walk through the Xmas park, this new update features harder levels to test your jumping skills. Each level comes with a brand-new Special Bot to rescue and, once that’s done, can be replayed in Time Attack mode with online rankings. To access these, you will need to have completed the main game. So sharpen those skills again and let’s get rescuing.”

Further, PlayStation released a new trailer showcasing Astro Bot‘s compatibility with the PlayStation Portal. The trailer features Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things, ItGhostbusters Afterlife). Check out the trailer below:

Recently, Astro Bot reached 1.5 million copies sold on PlayStation 5 as of November 3. Astro Bot sales will likely be updated in the next quarterly financial results release early next year.

Despite Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki’s recent comments on PlayStation original IPs, it’s clear that Astro Bot is an IP that should be fostered for years to come. The game has already become a trending topic on Twitter and other social media platforms as well. This is due to Astro Bot’s many easter eggs and cameos from other first-party and third-party games.

Astro Bot is available now on PlayStation 5.
