    The first episode of Ave Mujica – The Die is Cast – focused on Sakiko Togawa’s past with her father, what led up to Ave Mujica’s founding, and the group’s on-stage aliases. Sakiko’s teens have been full of trouble after her mother’s unfortunate passing. Sakiko’s alcoholic father makes matters worse, and decides to put her all into Ave Mujica’s crowning performance, a masquerade.

    Their masks are integral to their identity, but one member, Nyamu Yuutenji, decides for the group that its time to lift the veil. On the eve of the perfect masquerade, Nyamu unmasks herself and the members of Ave Mujica. The fans finally have names to the faces of their favorite idols, and many are shocked to see classmates and friends on that stage.

    The anime’s opening theme song is “KiLLKiSS,” composed and arranged by Daisuke Hasegawa with lyrics by Diggy-MO’. Studio SANZIGEN is producing the new anime with Koudai Kakimoto as director. Yuniko Ayana serves as script writer and supervisor.
