Mediascape Corporation has announced a new game part of the “Play, Doujin!” project, titled Curry Princess Gold. The game will release on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in 2025. The game is a “casual action game created by Birdkin Studio, a two-person team consisting of Saori Utsumi and Hideaki Utsumi.” It will feature a two-player mode. The exact release date for the game is currently unknown.
The Steam page describes Curry Princess Gold as follows:
A casual game where you collect falling spices, earn gold, and cook delicious curry.
Enjoy three different game modes:
-
Classic Mode: An endless score-attack challenge, a remastered version of Curry Princess originally released for iOS/Android in 2018, now reimagined for console with enhanced gameplay.
-
Story Mode: Unfold an engaging story as you progress through episodes.
-
2P Mode: Play local co-op or PvP with a friend, choosing from stages you’ve cleared in Story Mode.
These three modes offer a variety of ways to play!
Further, according to the press release, “The basic play is to collect spices falling from the sky to earn gold and complete various curries. With simple controls and a relaxed pace, the game aims to bring a touch of joy to everyday life. Based on the smartphone title Curry Princess (Japanese title: カレーのおひめさま) this is an upgraded version that adds a “Story Mode” with the strategic element of battling rivals, a “2P Mode,” and a “Leaderboard” where players can compete for scores worldwide.”
