SNK and Pix’n Love are teaming up to release new 30th Anniversary Edition physical copies of The King of Fighters ’98 (PS4), The King of Fighters ’2002 (PS4), The King of Fighters XIII Global Match (PS4, Nintendo Switch), and The King of Fighters XIV (PS4). Each edition is numbered to just 330 copies.
The four The King of Fighters 30th Anniversary physical editions will be sold featuring the physical copy for PS4 or Switch, an artbook, and the game’s OST in CD format and lithographs. The physical copy’s case an official NEOGEO box with an exclusive cover.
Moreover, a Deluxe Box Set will feature all four games in one complete set and a numbered certificate of authenticity. It’s worth noting that only 50 copies of the Deluxe Box Set will be sold, so it’s expected to sell out fast. Pre-orders will be available at www.pixnlove.com, and all copies will release in spring 2025.
“On August 25, 1994, SNK revolutionized fighting games with the release of the very first title in the KOF series: The King of Fighters ’94,” Pix’n Love said in a press release. “Boasting top-notch graphics and music, elaborate mechanics and a cast of iconic fighters, this first installment laid the foundations for a saga that would become legendary. With over 15 canonical games published between 1994 and 2022, and millions of fans around the world, KOF has become an absolute cornerstone of fighting games, and video games in general.”
