It’s that time of year again: The Game Awards 2024 is finally here. Hosted by gaming influencer and personality Geoff Keighley, The annual event will feature major announcements and honors to go around. Here’s everything you can expect from The Game Awards 2024, including the date, time, and location of the event, where to watch it, as well as what announcements and awards fans can look forward to.
When Is The Game Awards 2024
The Game Awards 2024 will air on Thursday, December 12, 2024. The 10th Anniversary of the beloved event will begin with the pre-show at 4:30 PM PDT, 7:30 PM EDT, 6:30 PM CDT, 12:30 AM BST, 5:30 PM MST, and 9:30 AM JST. Fans can expect to see some smaller announcements alongside a few other awards revealed before the main event.
At 5:00 PM PDT, 8:00 PM EDT, 7:00 PM CDT, 1:00 AM BST, 6:00 PM MST, and 10:00 AM JST, the full show will begin. Here, expect to see the major awards such as Best Performance and Game of the Year, alongside bigger showcases for games set to release in 2025 and beyond.
How to Watch The Game Awards 2024
The stream will be available to watch on the official Game Awards Twitch and YouTube account. It will also be available to watch on The Game Awards Twitter/X account.
Additionally, for people in California hoping to catch the event in-person, the event will be held at the Peacock Theater at Los Angeles. Regardless of preference, fans have plenty of options for streaming The Game Awards 2024 tomorrow.

What Announcements to Expect at The Game Awards 2024
Currently, Keighley has only confirmed a few games that will be shown off at The Game Awards 2024. These titles include Borderlands 4, Mafia: The Old Country, and the next DLC character for Tekken 8.
However, there are a few possible surprise titles that players may see next week. For one, there’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Hideo Kojima has confirmed that he would be present during The Game Awards, and the most recent trailer was shown at the PlayStation State of Play. It is highly likely that a new trailer will be shown, especially with the game’s release date still unconfirmed.
Other games releasing in 2025, such as Ghost of Yotei, Wolverine, Grand Theft Auto VI, and Judas may also receive new trailers. There may also be some surprise updates for games such as Kingdom Hearts IV, the rumored Persona 6, a new game from Naughty Dog, and more. One thing’s for sure though: with The Game Awards, always be sure to expect the unexpected.
