    INDIE Live Expo Teases World Premieres for Winter 2024 Showcase

    Showcasing 2025's exciting slate of indie games.

    Ryu’s Office announced that the INDIE Live Expo 2024 Winter showcase on December 7 will feature over 100+ games and several world premieres, including the reveal of Sofia in Exchange for Lies. That same day, the INDIE Live Expo Awards will honor this year’s best indie titles. 

    The lineup for the INDIE Live Expo 2024 Winter showcase includes All in Abyss: Judge the Fake, BLADE CHIMERA, Kemono Teatime, Marisa of Liartop Mountain, NOROI KAGO: the Grudged Domain, The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily, and Yunyun Syndrome!? Rhythm Psychosis. Many more titles will be revealed at the event, including Sofia in Exchange for Lies, so stay tuned for more updates. 

    As previously announced, there will be three segments for the December 7 INDIE Live Expo 2024 showcase, which starts at 7:00 p.m. JST / 2:00 a.m. PST / 5:00 a.m. EST / 11:00 a.m. CET live in English on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter/X, and Steam. Each segment is an hour long, with the first being the Indie Waves segment with 15-second videos of indie games from around the world.

    INDIE Live Expo Executive Committee will introduce the hottest indie games across various genres during the INDIE Spotlight segment. This is where you can expect the world premieres and announcements. 

    INDIE Live Expo Awards 2024 ends this year’s festivities by presenting awards in four categories for this year’s best indie games. 

    Here are the award categories and nominees:

    Best Game Feel Award

    • Thronefall (GrizzlyGames)
    • DREDGE (Black Salt Games, Team17)

    Best New Characters Award

    • Slay the Princess (Black Tabby Games, Serenity Forge)

    • Goodbye Volcano High (KO_OP)

    Rules of Play Award

    • Chants of Sennaar (Rundisc, Focus Entertainment)
    • Balatro (LocalThunk, Playstack)
    • Luck be a Landlord (TrampolineTales)

    Best Short Game Award

    • No Case Should Remain Unsolved (Somi)
    • clickyland (Sokpop Collective)
    • Animal Well (Billy Basso, Bigmode)
