SEGA and Paramount Pictures revealed a new poster for the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie, just one week before tickets go on sale. The new Sonic the Hedgehog 3 poster depicts Sonic and his crew, along with the Shadow the Hedgehog, who is voiced by Keanu Reeves.

Previously, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film director Jeff Fowler confirmed that the film will tease future characters for the series. According to Fowler, the film will continue the “tradition set by the previous two films,” and will “set the stage for a potential fourth movie to introduce another video game character after Tails and now Shadow.”
Fowler added, “It’s fun to see the fan debates online about who’s coming up next, who’s going to be teased at the end of the film. We have a lot of the same conversations. We’ve all got our favorites on the filmmaking side, and we’re all making great cases for ‘it should be this one or that one.’ It is fun to keep that anticipation. This movie is no different in terms of teasing new characters.”
Only time will tell if Sonic the Hedgehog 3 teases the debut of future characters such as Amy, Rouge, Silver, Chaos, or Metal Sonic. The upcoming film will feature the highly anticipated debut of Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic’s sworn rival since his debut in Sonic Adventure 2. It is the long-awaited newest entry in the ongoing movie franchise that began in 2020.
Lastly, the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie will premiere in theaters on December 20. The latest game in the franchise, Sonic X Shadow Generations, is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
