Capcom has officially released the patch notes for the October 1 update of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. This update arrived on Steam and PlayStation 4 on September 20, but the Nintendo Switch version received this update today. The patch includes many bug fixes and a new feature that allows players to turn Juggernaut’s Cyttorak effect on or off. The developers also fixed the online matchmaking issues that players experienced.
Moreover, fans can look forward to the release of the variant comic covers based on Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics in December. The comic covers feature Bengus’ original character art created for Marvel vs. Capcom 2. It will commemorate the game’s launch on September 12 and its physical release in November. The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics variant comic covers will be available at select local and online retailers.

New Features
- Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes
– Cyttorak Power-Up setting added to the EX Settings to turn Juggernaut’s Cyttorak effect on or off upon tagging out. For Ranked Matches, the effect is set to be on upon tagging out.
Bug Fixes
- Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics
– Matchmaking regional limits have been relaxed for online matches. (We will continue to monitor network activity and stability to ensure an enjoyable play experience for all players.)
- Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes
– Fixed an issue that caused the game to freeze during online matches.
– Fixed an issue that caused attacks to not come out during Cross-Over Combination when Thanos is your partner.
– Fixed an issue that caused the player to lose control of their character when certain Cross-Over Assists hit at the exact same time as Venom’s Special Throw (Punch) attack.
– Fixed an issue that caused the ranking screen to not display properly after a match.
– Other miscellaneous bug fixes.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will continue Capcom’s fighting game resurgence in 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The collection will include the following games: Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER, Project Justice, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, and Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein. Lastly, it also features rollback netcode, training mode, extended language support, and more content.
