The official Twitter account for the Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime series announced that Season 2 is now in production. A premiere date has not been announced, but a new Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf Season 2 key visual depicting Holo was released.
The new Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime premiered back on April 1 at 25:30 JST, or April 2 at 1:30 a.m. JST, on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, and TV Aichi. The anime aired for two consecutive cours, with English subs and dubs.
The Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime is animated and produced at studio Passione and ENISHIYA. Takeo Takahashi returned as the chief director alongside director Hijiri Sanpei. Further, Kevin Penkin is the anime’s composer. Hana Hope performs the “Tabi no Yukue” opening theme song and ClariS performs the ending theme song “Andante.”
The original light novel series is written by Isuna Hasekura and illustrated by Jū Ayakura, and 24 volumes have been released to date. ASCII Media Works publishes the series under its Dengeki Bunko imprint. Additionally, Yen Press distributes the series in English.
