The official Twitter (X) account for Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf confirms the new anime series will run for two consecutive cours, or quarters of a year. The anime is set to premiere on April 1.
The new Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime will premiere on April 1 at 25:30 JST, or April 2 at 1:30 a.m. JST, on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, and TV Aichi. The anime will also air on BS TV Tokyo and AT-X after the initial premiere. Fortunately, fans can expect at least 24 episodes during the anime’s run instead of just 12 or 13.
New Spice and Wolf Anime Update at AnimeJapan 2024
During the AnimeJapan 2024 event, the staff of Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf revealed that the anime will air for two consecutive cours. Two new key visuals were unveiled as well. One key visual celebrates the latest announcement, while the other signifies a good harvest for Lawrence (VA: Jun Fukuyama) and Holo (VA: Ami Koshimizu).

The Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime is animated and produced at studio Passione and ENISHIYA. Takeo Takahashi returns as the chief director of the series alongside director Hijiri Sanpei. Kevin Penkin will compose the music for the Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime.
Hana Hope performs the “Tabi no Yukue” opening theme song and ClariS performs the ending theme song “Andante.”
The original light novel series is written by Isuna Hasekura and illustrated by Jū Ayakura, and 24 volumes have been released to date. ASCII Media Works publishes the series under its Dengeki Bunko imprint. Additionally, Yen Press distributes the series in English.
