    Astro Bot Reveals Launch Trailer and Behind the Scenes Series

    Some insight into the game's development.

    Sony Interactive Entertainment and Team Asobi released the launch trailer for PlayStation 5-exclusive 3D platformer Astro Bot and the first video for the game’s behind the scenes video series. According to Team Asobi studio head Nicolas Doucet, there will be five episodes.

    The first episode for the Astro Bot behind the scenes series goes over the gameplay aspect of the platform. Doucet also shared descriptions for what the following four episodes will include. 

    Check out the first episode below:

    Episode 1: Crafted Gameplay – Members of Team Asobi discuss what it takes to make a platformer feel good.

    Episode 2: Techno Magic (TBA)  -Discover how Team Asobi uses technology to create magical moments.

    Episode 3: PlayStation Fiesta (TBA) – Learn how the PlayStation cameos came about, and the level of collaboration needed with other PlayStation Studios to bring this celebration to life.

    Episode 4: Overflowing Charm (TBA) – We focus on the fun features of Astro Bot, from graphics to animation and all other charming touches.

    Episode 5: Being an Asobi (TBA) – An insider’s look at what it means to be working at Team Asobi and features some of the young talents from the studio.

    Astro Bot will release on September 6 for PlayStation 5, and players have three editions to choose from. Pre-orders for the physical standard edition, digital standard edition, and digital deluxe edition are live. A new Astro Bot DualSense controller will also release on September 6.

    Astro Bot features six galaxies spanning over 80 levels, as the titular protagonist searches for his crew. Astro will explore lush forests, sandy beaches, hot volcanoes, and otherworldly locales on unique planets. Over 15 new abilities will incorporate the DualSense controller, and more than 70 new enemy types will be present.
