Capcom and Niantic announced that Monster Hunter Now Season 3 “Curse of the Wandering Flames” will begin on September 11 at 6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET. The fall update celebrates the first anniversary of Monster Hunter Now and add Magnamalo, the flagship monster of Monster Hunter Rise.
Monster Hunter Now Season 3 will finally add the iconic cooking feature from the mainline series. Players will be able to cook up a well-done steak and activate effects that are unique to the mobile game.
This September, players may hunt Magnamalo, Rajang, and Aknosom in the field once they’re unlocked from Season 3’s urgent quests. Rajang will also appear in Hunt-a-thons and has a small chance of appearing on the field.
To combat the new monsters, players will be able to wield the Heavy Bowgun, which deals major damage from a distance. Each Heavy Bowgun can use two to three types of ammo. When not moving or firing, it automatically guards with a shield part. There are two Heavy Bowgun Special Skills to be aware of: the rapid fire Wyvernheart Ammo (SP) and focused fire Wyvernsnipe Ammo (SP).
New skills and equipment are on the way, including Hellfire Cloak. There will also be new hunter medals, an additional 250 slots with the Item Box expansion,, changes in monster appearances, a new Season Pass, and other quality of life updates.
