Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising revealed new gameplay footage of Versusia in a new developer match. Cygames showed off many of her mechanics and the upcoming 1.50 changes in the gameplay.
The patch will also include a new episode for Story Mode Part 3, “When Tomorrow Comes”. Versusia, Rein, Gran, and Djeeta will engage in a final battle, closing off the game’s story in an epic finale.

Additionally, Cygames recently revealed some new details on the upcoming 1.50 and 1.60 updates. Starting with version 1.50, Cygames will add a Grand Master Rank and a Battle Season that will last until October. Moreover, the upcoming DLC character Versusia will arrive on August 20 for patch 1.50. Alongside the additions listed above, here are some of the new content players can expect in the new patch:
- New stage
- Balance adjustments for entire roster
- New online lobby mini-game
- New Grand Bruise! game mode
There is also a lobby connection check feature as well as a disconnect penalty that will punish people for disconnecting while in matches.
The patch notes for update 1.50 will be released on August 17 at 10 p.m. CST. This patch will seek to be GBVSR‘s biggest update yet, containing significant buffs and nerfs to characters.
Version 1.60 will arrive in October 2024 with a number of tweaks to Ranked Matches. Further adjustments and improvements are also planned for future updates, so stay tuned.
Lastly, Vikala will be released in October 2024, and Sandalphon will be the first character to start Character Season Pass 2.
