Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising revealed some new details on the upcoming 1.50 and 1.60 updates. Starting with version 1.50, Cygames will add a Grand Master Rank and a Battle Season that will last until October.
The top ten players for each character in the ranking leaderboard will receive Grand Master Rank. However, after each Battle Season ends, all Master Points will be reset. Players who were able to maintain their Grand Master Rank when the season ends will receive a special badge and trophy for their profile.
Additionally, when Grand Master players battle against each other, five times the normal amount of Master Points are at stake. For players who are wondering, the patch notes for update 1.50 will be releasing on August 17 at 10 p.m. CST.
Version 1.60 will arrive in October 2024 with a number of tweaks to Ranked Matches. Further adjustments and improvements are also planned for future updates, so stay tuned.

Version 1.50 will also include a new episode for Story Mode Part 3, “When Tomorrow Comes”. Versusia, Rein, Gran, and Djeeta will engage in a final battle, closing off the game’s story in an epic finale.
Moreover, the upcoming DLC character Versusia will arrive on August 20 for patch 1.50. Alongside the additions listed above, here are some of the new content players can expect in the new patch:

There is also a lobby connection check feature as well as a disconnect penalty that will punish people for disconnecting while in matches.
The battle adjustments for the entire roster will have a massive character rebalance rolling out this August. It will be GBVSR‘s biggest update yet, as it will include the fifth DLC character and new features for online modes.
Lastly, Vikala and Sandalphon were teased at EVO 2024. Vikala will be released in October 2024, and Sandalphon will be the first character to start Character Season Pass 2.
