SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced a new Like a Dragon “Bakamitai” vinyl record will be sold on November 3 in Japan. The vinyl will have six renditions of the iconic karaoke song from across the franchise.
The new 12-inch Like a Dragon “Bakamitai” vinyl record will have six tracks, with full, short, and karaoke variations. The vinyl’s A-side will have “Bakamitai -Taxi Driver Edition-” from Yakuza 5, while the B-side will feature “Bakamitai -Sorrow-,” according to the studio’s Twitter account.
Fans may listen to all renditions of “Bakamitai” by playing the franchise, which is now conveniently bundled in digital Yakuza and Like a Dragon Starter Packs on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG. The Yakuza Complete Series Bundle is also available now featuring all seven Yakuza titles, from Yakuza 0 to Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.
The Yakuza Series Starter Pack features Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2, allowing players to experience the first two games in the series that star Kazuma Kiryu as the protagonist. The Like a Dragon Series Starter Pack includes Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the first two games in the series starring Ichiban Kasuga.
Like a Dragon is one of SEGA’s biggest properties. Earlier this year, the eighth mainline installment, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, released with Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu as protagonists. Final Weapon’s 5/5 review, we stated the game “is a grand, momentous adventure that sees players control both of the series protagonists in a story that ultimately shapes the future of Like a Dragon.”
The next Like a Dragon game is currently in development, and the next reveal from RGG Studio will happen at Tokyo Game Show 2024. A “YAKUZA WARS” title was recently trademarked.
