SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced the Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Original Soundtrack is available now on major music streaming services worldwide. Fans may listen to iconic tunes from Kazuma Kiryu’s latest journey as a Yakuza / Like a Dragon protagonist before his triumphant return in Like a Dragon 8.
The Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Original Soundtrack features 72 songs amounting to nearly three hours of music playback. Fans may tune into the Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Original Soundtrack through Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify.
In Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, Kazuma Kiryu serves time in prison following the events of Yakuza 5. During that time, a major arson destroys much of Kamurocho’s Little Asia district and flips the criminal underworld on its head. Coincidentally, Haruka Sawamura leaves the Morning Glory orphanage, causing Kiryu to pursue her after his prison sentence is up.
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life would be Kiryu’s final game as the lead Yakuza / Like a Dragon protagonist before the announcement of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. The new Like a Dragon title will shed insight into Kiryu’s life between Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and Like a Dragon 8.
The upcoming Like a Dragon: Ishin title is an enhanced remake taking place during the Bakumatsu era of Japanese history. Ryoma Sakamoto, voiced by Kazuma Kiryu voice actor Takaya Kuroda, is determined to find the man who killed his adopted father. After being framed for his father’s murder, Ryoma leaves his home in pursuit of the killer and joins the Shinsengumi to find leads.
Like a Dragon: Ishin releases releases February 21, 2023 across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name releases later this year for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Like a Dragon 8, the next numbered title featuring protagonists Kazuma Kiryu and Ichiban Kasuga, releases in 2024.
