SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced the cabaret mini-game returns in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will hold auditions for potential cabaret hostesses to appear within Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Those selected for the “Grand Prix ” will also appear in Like a Dragon 8, the next mainline game in the series. Additionally, winning applicants earn one million yen as a prize. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name focuses on series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and the events following Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. The game should provide insight into what Kiryu was doing leading into Yakuza: Like a Dragon / Like a Dragon 7 and what he will do in Like a Dragon 8. Kiryu and Ichiban Kasuga serve as the two main protagonists of Like a Dragon 8.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name releases in 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Like a Dragon: Ishin releases February 21, 2023 across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Lastly, Like a Dragon 8 releases in 2024.
