Entergram announced that the sequel to romance visual novel AQUARIUM, which stars hololive 2nd Generation VTuber Minato Aqua, has been canceled. The game’s development will no longer proceed, since Minato Aqua is graduating from hololive on August 28.
In an official statement released by Entergram, the company confirmed that development of the AQUARIUM sequel will no longer continue due to Minato Aqua’s graduation. Fortunately, sales of the original game are unaffected. The sequel was first announced at Hololive SUPER EXPO 2024 on March 15 earlier this year.
On August 28, a graduation live concert for Minato Aqua will be held. Further details will be announced before the event goes live, according to hololive’s Twitter account. hololive encourages fans to support Minato Aqua to their fullest and wish her the best in her future endeavors.
AQUARIUM Limited and Hololive Official Editions were released on October 26, 2023 in Japan, nearly one year after the original Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 release. Limited Edition contents include the physical Windows version, a new drama CD, B2 tapestry, acrylic figure, acrylic keychain, and an original soundtrack CD. Further, Hololive Official Edition contents include the Limited Edition, theme song CD, B6 acrylic panel, and a second new drama CD.
