Nintendo published its earnings release for the quarter ending on June 30, 2024, revealing that the Nintendo Switch sales reached 143.22 million worldwide. Updated sales figures for Nintendo Switch software were also revealed.
2.1 million Nintendo Switch hardware units were moved in the first quarter of fiscal year ending in March 2025. Additionally, 30.64 million software units were sold on Nintendo Switch in the same quarter. This brings the grand total of Nintendo Switch software units sold to 1.266 billion.

According to Nintendo, unit sales for the entire Nintendo Switch family of systems declined 46.3% year-on-year to 2.10 million units. Unit sales of software declined 41.3% year-on-year to 30.64 million units. However, Nintendo reports good sales for many of its evergreen titles, including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 17.61 million
Updated sales figures for recent releases include:
- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door – 1.76 million units
- Luigiʼs Mansion 2 HD – 1.19 million units
