    Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update Available Today

    Bethesda has officially announced that the next-gen update for Fallout 4 is available today on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The update adds a quality and performance mode, widescreen support, and more.

    More than a year ago, Bethesda confirmed that Fallout 4 is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players who already own the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One may upgrade to the new versions for free, but further details remained scarce for nearly 14 months. In December, Bethesda confirmed that they had delayed the update to 2024. The update now comes off the heels of the highly successful Fallout TV show.

    Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update Launching on April 25

    Bethesda has finally released the next-gen update for Fallout 4. The update is available now on the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. At first, there was some confusion as to whether or not the update would be available to those who downloaded the game via the now defunct PlayStation Plus Free Game Catalog. Thankfully, according to a post from the company, those who downloaded the game via the service will get access to the update as soon as possible.

    The update adds 60 FPS, quality improvements, resolution improvements, stability fixes, and more for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It also adds an Enclave-themed quest and cosmetic pack, a makeshift weapons pack, and a “Halloween workshop.” Everything mentioned above and more will be available for free later this April.
