    Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 Officially Announced

    Airing in two cours starting this October.

    Following the season finale of Shangri-La Frontier, the staff of the anime series confirm it will continue in Season 2 this October. Like the first season, Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 will run for two cours. 

    Katarina began the Shangri-La Frontier web novel series on the “Let’s Be Novelists” website in May 2017. Three years later, the manga adaptation by Ryosuke Fuji began in Weekly Shonen Magazine in July 2020. The anime premiered on October 1, 2023 as a two-cour series, with 13 episodes in the first cour and 12 episodes in the second cour.

    Shangri-La Frontier Continues in Season 2

    Good Smile Company will release a new Shangri-La Frontier Sunraku Nendoroid figure in Japan in August 2024 for ¥7,200. The company’s US shop will begin shipping the figure in Q1 2025 for $47.99. Those who pre-ordered the figure include a special “Critical” effect sheet for Sunraku. All Sunraku figures include a small Emul figure as well. 

    FZMZ and icy performed the opening theme song “Danger Danger” for the second cour of Shangri-La Frontier. ReoNa performed the ending theme song “Gajumaru ∼Heaven in the Rain∼.” Both of the new theme songs for the Shangri-La Frontier second cour began to play in episode 14.

    A total of 25 episodes for the first season of the Shangri-La Frontier anime series aired in two cours from October 2023 to March 2024. Fans outside of Japan may watch the Shangri-La Frontier anime on Crunchyroll
