Stunlock Studios have announced that their upcoming vampire action game, V Rising, will be collaborating with the beloved Castlevania franchise. A cosmetic pack themed around the series will release alongside the game on May 8.
Stunlock Studios initially released V Rising for Steam Early Access in May 2022. The game is an action, open-world, top-down adventure where you play as a vampire. Players must “hunt for blood in nearby settlements to regain [their] strength and evade the scorching sun to survive.” The game also includes online multiplayer. The upcoming Castlevania collaboration will feature beloved protagonist, Simon Belmont.
V Rising Collaborating with the “Legacy of Castlevania“
According to a recent press release and trailer from Stunlock Studios, V Rising will include a collaboration with Castlevania when the game comes out of Steam Early Access on May 8. Simon Belmont and a new whip weapon will be included in the Legacy of Castlevania pack. If they purchase the premium cosmetic DLC, they can “construct their own castles inspired by Castlevania’s classic gothic aesthetic… enjoy character customization options inspired by classic Castlevania characters, and spread terror with [their] spooky skeletal mount.” There will also be two classic Castlevania themes, reimagined by V Rising composer Aleksandria Migova.
