The staff for the Sound! Euphonium franchise revealed a new trailer highlighting the opening theme for the series’ third season, Sound! Euphonium 3. The season will premiere on April 7.
Sound Euphonium is a Kyoto-Animation-produced anime initially released in 2015. It focuses on the story of the young protagonist, Kumiko, who hopes to join her new school’s brass band club. A theatrical movie that adapts the “Ensemble Contest Arc” was released just one month before season 3’s first footage was released. The anime’s staff confirmed the premiere date for season 3 last month.
Sound! Euphonium 3 Showcases Opening Theme in New Promo
During AnimeJapan 2024, the staff of Sound! Euphonium 3 revealed a new promo. The promo highlights the third season’s opening theme. TRUE will perform the third season’s OP, “ReCoda.” The “Kitauji Quartet” will perform the ED song “Onshoku no Kanata” (Beyond the Timbre). Crunchyroll will start airing the series when it premieres on April 7. Check out the new promo below:
The anime’s third season will adapt Kumiko’s third year in high school. Haruka Tomatsu voices the new character Mayu Kuroe. The other cast members will be returning from prior seasons. Crunchyroll describes the series as follows:
Spring in the first year of high school. Kumiko, a member of the brass band in junior high school, visits the high school brass band club with classmates Hazuki and Sapphire. There, she comes across Reina, her former classmate from junior high. Hazuki and Sapphire decide to join the club, but Kumiko can’t make up her mind. She recollects her experience with Reina at a competition in junior high school.
Lastly, Sound Euphonium Season 3 will premiere on April 7, 2024. For those hoping to catch up on the series before its release, check it out on Crunchyroll. The first two episodes will screen in Tokyo on March 16 and in Kyoto on March 17. Season 3 will also be available on Crunchyroll.
