Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 8 Review – The Konoha Invasion Begins

    Himawari is a Jinchuriki???

Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 8 unironically went from 0 to 100 very quickly. Every scene and interaction leading up to the invasion of Konoha felt seamless. With Kawaki’s suspicions towards Shikamaru, Mitsuki’s continued dilemma, and Himawari’s new developments, there’s no telling what direction this story is going.

The Boruto story continues to grow exciting with each chapter, which are released on a monthly basis. Without further ado, let’s review the pivotal events of chapter 8 and see where Boruto Two Blue Vortex is heading.

What Happened in Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 8?

Right off the bat, Boruto fills in Shikamaru with more information on the Divine Trees. He knows so much information that Shikamaru questions how much he actually knows. I think this links to Boruto’s ability to see into the future using Momoshiki’s Byakugan. Plenty of hints in past chapters suggest that Boruto knows what the future could look like. In Chapter 2, Boruto warns Code that if he doesn’t discard the Shinjus, the world will end up in the worst possible future. Additionally, Boruto mentions that people don’t understand the true horror of Ten Tails. Boruto might be trying to strategically get everyone to jump on the right path so that the world can be saved.

However, Kawaki calls Shikamaru in the middle of their conversation to tell him they’ve located Boruto, thanks to Eida. Hearing this, Boruto evacuates immediately out of thin air. Afterward, Kawaki stops and notices that he doesn’t sense Boruto anymore. He points out to Delta that neither of them can perceive their auras. The panel then has Shikamaru and Kawaki standing side-by-side, with Kawaki looking toward Shikamaru’s direction. This hints that Kawaki is starting to have suspicions about Shikamaru. If Kawaki turns on Shikamaru, this situation can take the story in a colossal direction.

Afterward, Mitsuki and Eida have a conversation about love. After Chapter 7, Boruto’s conversation with Mitsuki made him think deeply. He feels that maybe he should look inward and give himself positive affirmation. Only then will he find his sun to illuminate his path. On the other hand, Eida is strangely hyper-focused on Boruto. She wants to have a long talk with Boruto in relation to his comment about him being Mitsuki’s sun. I don’t know what exactly Eida is trying to do here, but it might have to do with her relationship with Kawaki. Eida might see a way to get to Kawaki, so this “Sun and Moon” situation with Boruto and Mitsuki could be good information for her.

Finally, the Shinjus waste no time and arrive in Konoha. Shikamaru and the rest of Konoha’s officials are immediately notified, and Shikamaru asks for civilians to be evacuated swiftly. The main Shinju identifies Naruto’s location instantly, as it is an incarnation of a fellow Biju. Here’s the thing: they arrive at the area and find Himawari there instead. This is a massive development because the main Shinju was actually tracking Himawari’s chakra the whole time. This can mean one thing and one thing only: Himawari has Tailed Beast chakra inside of her. No one knows how this happened to her, which makes this next chapter even more exciting. The question is, does Boruto know about this information?
