The official website for the SHY anime series confirms that SHY Season 2 will premiere in July 2024 on various networks, including TV Tokyo. New cast members and a stunning key visual were unveiled today as well.
SHY is a story about the titular character being the superhero representative for Japan. The timid young girl is a beacon of peace with a heart of gold, capable of bringing worldwide peace to all. Fans enjoyed the SHY anime series with English dubs and subs in 2023, and SHY Season 2 follows up in summer 2024.
SHY Season 2 Works Toward Peace in July 2024
Alongside confirmation of the July 2024 premiere, a new SHY Season 2 key visual was unveiled on the anime’s official website. The website also confirms that voice actresses Kotori Koiwai and Hitomi Ueda will play the roles of Ai Tennoji and Utsuro in the second season. Fans can expect more details at AnimeJapan 2024.
Masaomi Ando is directed the first season of the SHY TV anime at the animation studio 8-Bit. Kōsaku Taniguchi is the assistant director, and Yasuhiro Nakanishi wrote and oversaw the series scripts. What’s more, Yūichi Tanaka was the main character designer. Hinako Tsubakiyama is the anime’s composer. MindaRyn performs the opening theme song “Shiny Girl” for the first season.
Akita Shoten publishes the original SHY manga by Bukimi Miki in its Weekly Shonen Champion magazine, and an English language version is also available from Yen Press.
