Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Includes Original and Japanese Voices

Players get to choose their dub preference.

Dragami Games president Yoshimi Yasuda confirms that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will feature the same voices as the original version, alongside Japanese dubs.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP was initially announced as a remake, but Dragami Games decided that the game would be better off as a remaster. However, the remaster will still have vastly improved gameplay, features, and improvements. For example, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will have faster load times, improved playability, new costumes, and new character designs by Nekoshowgun

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Lets Players Choose Between Original and Japanese Voices

Players may choose between the original English voices or Japanese voices in Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. These options will likely be available in all regions that the game is sold in.

“In RePOP, players can enjoy the same voices as in the original version,” Yasuda said on Twitter. “And in RePOP, we have added a feature that allows users all over the world to enjoy the Japanese voices.”

Previously, Yasuda confirmed that the model for Juliet has not changed in Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. Instead, the model itself has been retextured, and the remasters uses current CG technology, allowing the developers at Dragami Games to emphasize Juliet’s natural beauty.

Yasuda also mentioned in a December 2023 interview that the developers will “walk the righteous path” by carrying over the well-received elements of the original Lollipop Chainsaw game. The developer re-confirms that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be released on modern platforms in summer 2024.

Moreover, Dragami Games is developing a new game alongside Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. This new game will likely be announced in 2025, so it’s still in an early stage of development.

Lastly, the character designs for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will continue to be drawn and completed by illustrator Nekoshowgun. She also designed Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP’s new loading screen visuals.
