    Girls Band Cry Reveals New Character Trailer for Nina Iseri

    Toei Animation has released the first of many character trailers for the upcoming Girls Band Cry anime. The first trailer introduces Nina Iseri. The series will air on April 5.

    Girls Band Cry is an original anime from Toei Animation. Toei is a beloved studio known for several different anime over the last ten years. Examples include One Piece, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, and more. Earlier this month, they revealed the first trailer for the series and confirmed its premiere date of April 5, 2024.

    Girls Band Cry Introduces Nina Iseri in First of Many Character Trailers

    The first character trailer for Girls Band Cry reveals one of the series’ main characters: Nina Iseri. Rina Uchiyama voices Iseri. The character is described by Crunchyroll as “an ordinary girl who becomes the vocalist of the all-girl in-series band Togenashi Togeari.     • Yuri as Momoka Kawaragi
    • Mirei as Subaru Awa
    • Natsu as Tomo Ebizuka
    • Syuri as Rupa

    Kazuo Sakai will direct the series at Toei. Jukki Hanada will handle series composition. Nari Teshima will be the lead character designer. Mari Kondō and Jae Hoon Jung are the CGI directors, Kenji Tamai will compose the music, and Yūsuke Tanaka will provide music accompaniment.

    The main character drops out of high school in her second year, and aims at entering a university while working alone in Tokyo. A girl is betrayed by her friends and doesn’t know what to do. Another girl is abandoned by her parents, and tries to survive in the city by doing part-time jobs. This world lets us down all the time. Nothing goes as planned. But we want something that we can continue to like. We believe there’s a place where we belong. That’s why we sing.
