Insomniac Games has announced that the next major update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will launch on March 7. The update will include new game plus, new suits, and more “requested features.”
Spider-Man 2 is the long-anticipated follow-up to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The game includes many new suits, abilities, characters, and more. The game has sold millions of copies and become the 4th best selling game of the year.
Spider-Man 2 New Game Plus Update Releasing in Early March
In a recent tweet from the official Insomniac Games Twitter/X account, the company confirmed that the next major update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will launch on March 7. The update will include the long-anticipated new game plus mode, as well as feature new suits and a few more highly requested features.
Based on a previous post, the update will likely also include “the ability to change the time of day, swap tendril colors, and replay missions.” Insomniac will reveal more details in the coming weeks. Check out the official post below:

Spider-Man 2’s launch trailer describes the game as follows:
Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, return for an exciting new adventure in the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise for the PS5 console. Nine months after the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, we find Miles still enlisting Peter’s help, but when the mysterious symbiote appears, Peter and Miles’ relationships are put to the test.
Peter begins to change as he gains symbiote powers, and Miles, Mary Jane, Harry, and the rest of the friend group must help Peter while also facing the impending threats from a cast of new villains like Kraven, Lizard, Sandman, and Venom!
Lastly, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is exclusively available now on the PlayStation 5. 2018’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales are also available on the PlayStation 5. They are also available on PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam. The next major update for Spider-Man 2 will be available on March 7.
