Insomniac Games has revealed two new suits for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. These two suits are the Brooklyn 2099 and Kumo Suit. The game will release next Friday, October 20.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the long-anticipated follow-up to Spider-Man for the PS4. It also follows up Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the PlayStation 4 and 5. The game will feature Miles Morales and Peter Parker as playable characters and include several new mechanics and characters, including the monstrous Venom and deadly Kraven. Over 65 suits will be included in the upcoming game.
Spider-Man 2 Two New Suits
During a recent New York Comic-Con panel, Marvel and Insomniac revealed two new suits that will be unlockable in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. These suits are the Brooklyn 2099 suit, designed by Taurin Clarke, and the Kumo suit, designed by Peach Momoko. Both comics have worked on Marvel Comics in the past, with the former providing art for certain Miles Morales: Spider-Man and Black Panther comics and the latter working on Star Wars and Extreme Venomverse.
Clarke describes the Brooklyn 2099 suit as “streetwear meets futuristic armor.” Momoko stated that the Kumo suit combines Spider-Man and Japanese Festival styles. It is a suit that she considered as being more about the “culture” than it is about being a traditional Spider-Man costume. Both suits can be unlocked during playthroughs of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will include a wide variety of different costumes. Examples include the Miles Morales 10th Anniversary suit, the 2099 outfit, the Sam Raimi Black Suit for Peter Parker, and some returning costumes from Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Additionally, pre-ordering the game will give you early access to the Arachknight and Shadow-Spider suits. Whether or not you’re a long-time fan of the comics, at least one suit will appeal to you.
Lastly, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will release next Friday, October 20.
