    Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Surpasses 5 Million Copies Sold

    A major milestone for the hit superhero adventure.

    Insomniac Games and PlayStation have announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has officially topped 5 million copies sold. The milestone comes after just under three weeks since the game released on October 20.

    Spider-Man 2 is the long-anticipated follow-up to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The game includes many new suits, abilities, characters, and more. The game is available now on the PlayStation 5. Check out our official review here.

    Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Reaches Over 5 Million Sold Copies

    In a recent sales earning, Insomniac Games and PlayStation officially announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has topped five million copies sold. The developers commemorated the announcement in a tweet that you can check out below:

    Last month, Sony announced that not long after Spider-Man 2 released on October 20, the game had sold 2.5 million copies in just twenty-four hours. The game will likely reach more milestones as the year comes to a close.

    Spider-Man 2’s launch trailer describes the game as follows:

    Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, return for an exciting new adventure in the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise for the PS5 console. Nine months after the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, we find Miles still enlisting Peter’s help, but when the mysterious symbiote appears, Peter and Miles’ relationships are put to the test.

    Peter begins to change as he gains symbiote powers, and Miles, Mary Jane, Harry, and the rest of the friend group must help Peter while also facing the impending threats from a cast of new villains like Kraven, Lizard, Sandman, and Venom!

    Lastly, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is exclusively available now on the PlayStation 5. 2018’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales are also available on the PlayStation 5. They are also available on PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam. Insomniac and PlayStation will likely announce more news about the game’s further success and post-launch updates in the coming weeks and months.
