Nintendo announced a new Spirit Board event for Super Smash Bros Ultimate will begin on January 26 featuring new Spirits from Hades and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. This event will be available for a limited-time only, so it’s one that fans won’t want to miss.

Over 30 million copies of Super Smash Bros Ultimate were sold well into 2023, despite the lack of new DLC. 2024 may prove to be an intriguing year for the game, as Nintendo is hosting new Spirits events. The first new Spirits event began on January 11 with some of Nintendo’s greatest hits from the past two years, and the next event does the same for third-party games on Nintendo Switch.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate New Spirits Event Features Hades, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, and eBaseball

According to the game’s official Twitter account, the second new Spirits event for 2024 will begin on January 26 in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. This new Spirit Board event includes the Spirits from third-party games on Nintendo Switch:

  • eBaseball Powerful Pro Baseball
  • Hades
  • 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

The event will last for five days, so it’s expected to end sometime on January 31. Defeating the new Spirits in battle will award more gold than usual. As a reminder, gold may be used to purchase new music, Mii costumes, Spirit, and snacks for Spirits from the Vault Shop.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was released on December 8, 2018, for Nintendo Switch. Two Fighter’s Pass expansions were released, adding a total of twelve new fighters to the game. The game’s roster is dream-like, with characters like Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, Joker from Persona 5, Sora from Kingdom Hearts, and many more. Over one hundred stages and one thousand music tracks are featured in the game alongside its 89 fighters.

In 2024, Super Smash Bros series director Masahiro Sakurai is “wrapping up” his YouTube channel. He’s committed to creating and developing new games in the future, so he may be working on an all-new game right now.
