A new Bleach game titled “Bleach Rebirth of Souls” may be coming soon, according to a new EU trademark filed by Shueisha. The trademark was made public on December 27, 2023, as Bleach fans prepare for a monumental year in 2024.
The Bleach franchise has not received a console game since 2011’s Bleach: Soul Resurrección for PlayStation 3, despite Bleach characters appearing in crossover games like Jump Force. However, the popular Bleach: Brave Souls mobile game received a PlayStation 4 port in February 2022. What’s more, Nuverse’s all-new Bleach: Soul Resonance game releases 2024 to mobile platforms, and a new Bleach Rebirth of Souls game could potentially land on consoles, too.
Bleach Rebirth of Souls Could be a New Console Game
The Bleach Rebirth of Souls trademark indicates that it falls under the same classes as “amusement, video games, computer games” and other indicators that suggest it’s a brand-new game, similarly to the trademarks filed for Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO. Since the trademark was filed in Germany, it could suggest a worldwide release is planned. However, Bandai Namco and Shueisha did not reveal any official details regarding the game yet.
In the immediate future, Bleach fans may look forward to Bleach: Soul Resonance in 2024 for Android and iOS. Bleach: Soul Resonance includes a comprehensive story mode, allowing players to relive the events of Bleach with their favorite characters. The upcoming action game also includes various online features, which will be tested in an upcoming Bleach: Soul Resonance beta test. Nuverse did not reveal specific dates for the beta test yet.
The first cour of the Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War anime ran from October 11 to December 26, 2022. From July 8 to September 30, 2023, the anime continued with a second 13-episode cour as Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 – The Separation. The anime’s next cour, Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 – The Conflict, begins in 2024. A fourth and final cour will premiere after Part 3.
Lastly, Tite Kubo’s Burn the Witch prequel manga will be adapted into an anime special titled Burn The Witch #0.8 on December 29. Burn The Witch takes place within the same universe as Bleach.
