BanG Dream Girls Band Party Will No Longer Be Developed by Craft Egg

Bushiroad to handle developments and operations.

In an official notice, Bushiroad announced that BanG Dream Girls Band Party developer Craft Egg will no longer be developing the game. Starting January 4, 2024, all development and operations will be handled directly by Bushiroad.

BanG Dream Girls Band Party first launched in March 2017, and it quickly became a worldwide success after the overseas launch in April 2018. A Nintendo Switch version was also released in September 2021 in Japan. All of these developers were handled by Bushiroad and Craft Egg, but Craft Egg is bowing out of future developments for the game.

BanG Dream Girls Band Party Will Now Be Developed Solely by Bushiroad

Bushiroad’s official statement confirms that Craft Egg will no longer be involved with BanG Dream Girls Band Party starting January 4, 2024. Gane data, such as paid items and unused currencies, will be carried over to Bushiroad, so operations will continue unabated. The game’s official website and support will be handled by Bushiroad as well. Changes to company names displayed in the game will change at a later date.

Bushiroad reiterates that BanG Dream Girls Band Party will soon celebrate its 7th anniversary, in March 2024. The English version will receive its “Mega Update” for version 7.0.0 as well on December 19.

Lastly, here’s the full message from Bushiroad, via the official website

Future Transfer of the Game’s Development and Operations

Thank you for your constant support of “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!“.

The smartphone app “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!“, jointly produced by Craft Egg Co. Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shuichi Morikawa) and Bushiroad Co. Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakano, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takaaki Kidani), will be developed and operated by Bushiroad beginning January 4, 2024.

Bushiroad and Craft Egg have been co-producing “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!” since the release of the app, but as of January 4, 2024, Craft Egg will no longer be involved in development and operations, which will be transferred to Bushiroad.

We are sorry to announce that Craft Egg, which has been involved in the game’s management for all these years, will no longer be part of the game’s future development and operations.

Please note that despite the change in operating company, game data (including paid items and unused currencies) will be carried over to Bushiroad, so the game’s operations will continue unchanged even from January 4, 2024.

The official game website and inquiries will be handled by Bushiroad.
Please rest assured that you will be able to continue enjoying the game the same way up to now.

*Changes in the operating company’s names displayed within the game will take place sequentially at a later date.

All previously announced collaborations and ongoing events will continue without any changes to the schedule.

The Japanese version of “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!” will soon celebrate its 7th anniversary, even as the English version approaches its Mega Update for version 7.0.0.
We’ve been able to make it this far thanks to the endless support day by day, from everyone enjoying the BanG Dream! Project.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone, and will continue to operate “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!” to the fullest of our abilities so as to provide contents that everyone can enjoy.
