News about the upcoming Sonic works have been scarce until today’s brief update..

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Shadow Teaser

Jeff Fowler and SEGA’s Twitter accounts shared a teaser Sonic the Hedgehog 3 image featuring Shadow. Specifically, the teaser shows the lower half of Shadow’s body and the logo for the upcoming movie. Keen observers may note that the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 logo appears to be a reference to Sonic Adventure 2 from the SEGA Dreamcast. Since Shadow will be in the movie, it’s likely that the movie will include story beats from the fan-favorite game.

Jeff Fowler is also directing the first episode of Knuckles, and he will executively produce the entire series. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 screenwriter John Whittington wrote the pilot episode and will serve as head writer and executive producer. Brian Schacter and James Madejski will be on the writing team assisting John Whittington.

Lastly, Sonic Frontiers is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam worldwide. The Final Horizon update for Sonic Frontiers is the culmination for the latest Sonic the Hedgehog entry featuring new playable characters, stages, and a new story scenario. The Sonic Frontiers Expansion Soundtrack Paths Revisited is also available now with a total of 46 songs.
