    One Piece Luffy Balloon Revealed for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

    Joining Goku from Dragon Ball Super.

    Toei Animation announced an official One Piece Monkey D. Luffy balloon will be part of the 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 23. This will be the One Piece franchise’s debut in the annual parade. 

    Although One Piece is already one of the world’s most popular anime and manga franchise, the series went to new heights with Luffy’s Gear 5 transformation in the anime. In addition, the One Piece Netflix live-action series brought the franchise to millions of new fans. Fans old and new may celebrate the series on Thanksgiving this year, too.

    One Piece Luffy Balloon Will Soar at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

    The official Twitter account for Toei Animation confirms the One Piece Luffy balloon will be floating in the 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The iconic Straw Hat Pirate may be seen preparing an Gum-Gum attack. Goku from the Dragon Ball franchise will also be making his return as a floating balloon in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

    New episodes of One Piece typically air on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. JST across TV networks in Japan. Crunchyroll is simulcasting the One Piece anime on Saturdays at 10:00 p.m. EDT. One Piece is available to watch each week with Japanese audio and English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles. Moreover, Crunchyroll periodically releases batches of episodes with the English dub. 

    For those wanting to enjoy One Piece in video game form, there’s plenty of content to enjoy in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 Ultimate Edition, which is available now for $94.99. The Ultimate Edition includes the base game, Character Pass 1, Character Pass 2, and the Additional Episodes Pack. Character Pass 2 includes Character Pack 4: The Battle of Onigashima Pack featuring playable characters Luffy (Onigashima), Kaido (Onigashima), and Yamato. Luffy may activate his Gear 5 in battle, allowing players to re-enact battles from the One Piece anime as they wish.
