Tonight, Nintendo has announced a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Tetris 99 tournament. This tournament is titled the 35th MAXIMUS CUP – Aionios Edition. You can participate starting Friday, September 29, at 12AM PDT. The tournament will end of October 2 at 11:59 PM PDT. Check out the trailer below from Nintendo:

To claim the new theme featuring the key artwork of the game, you will need to collect at least 100 event points. After each match, you will gain event points depending on your placement. You will only be able to earn event points in online matches.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was officially released worldwide on July 29, 2022. The game depicts the future of the worlds of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Familiar faces, places, and themes appeared in the game, alongside a brand-new cast of characters and a whole new world to explore – Aionios. The game is heavily focused on themes of life, loss, and the future.
A DLC expansion was released in April, titled Future Redeemed. This expansion saw the return of protagonists Shulk and Rex. In addition, answers regarding the Trinity Processor were revealed, making the game the culmination of the Xenoblade Chronicles series thus far. In our review of the game, we stated it was “full of heart, soul, and decades of passion”. The game features well over 150 hours of content, allowing players to explore to their heart’s content.
Earlier this year, both a standard and limited edition release of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 soundtrack was announced. The limited edition has sold out and was released on July 29. The standard edition was released on August 1. Additionally, the Trinity Box Set was announced, containing music from Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles Future Connected, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed. This box set contains 20 CDs and hundreds of tracks spanning the entire series. It was also released on July 29.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and its expansion, Future Redeemed, are both out now. The series is entirely available on the Nintendo Switch exclusively. It was recently announced that Noah and Mio amiibo will be available to purchase on January 19, 2024.
