    Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.5: Growing Light Launches October 3

    During Tokyo Game Show 2023, Square Enix announced Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.5: Growing Light will release on October 3. The update will be divided into two parts according to producer Naoki Yoshida.

    Next year, Final Fantasy XIV will enter a new era and story saga with the release of the Xbox Series X|S version and the Dawntrail expansion. Players will be able to test out the new Xbox version in the Patch 6.5 series of updates, and more details were revealed in the latest live letter. 

    Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.5: Growing Light in Two Parts

    The Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer Live Part LXXIX livestream revealed some insight about the release of Patch 6.5. The first part of Patch 6.5 will release on October 3, and the second part is planned to release in mid-January 2024 as Patch 6.55. Patch 6.5 will include the final Alliance Raid for the Myths of the Realm series, more scenario quests, a new trial, and so much more. Patch 6.55 includes New Tataru and Hildibrand quests, more Manderville weapons, and much more. Beta testing for the Xbox Series X|S version will begin sometime soon as well.

    Lastly, Final Fantasy XIV and the latest expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, are available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail launches in summer 2024.
