Square Enix confirms that Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer Live Part LXXIX livestream will reveal new information about Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.5: Growing Light. This new patch will be crucial build-up toward the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail expansion next year, so fans will want to tune into the livestream.
During Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2023, Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail was revealed as the first expansion following the conclusion of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga. Players will embark on a new journey in the “New World” known as Tural. Additionally, an Xbox Series X|S version of Final Fantasy XIV is coming in spring 2024, and the Xbox open beta will be available in Patch 6.5.

This special Tokyo Game Show 2023 edition of Letter from the Producer Live Part LXXIX will go over what’s coming in Patch 6.5: Growing Light in October. Fans can also expect information about miscellaneous updates. Once more, producer Naoki Yoshida will host the live letter.
