In a new interview with Famitsu, Motomu Toriyama revealed new information regarding how Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will release story content through chapters.
The game is set to release worldwide tomorrow, Thursday, September 7. Three stories will be available at launch: Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-, and Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. Each of these games will have a select number of chapters you can play through within Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. A new story chapter will drop among the three games for Ever Crisis each month.
Toriyama confirms in the FF7 Ever Crisis Famitsu interview that at launch, the game will have three stories: FF7, Crisis Core, and the First Soldier.
For FF7, you will be able to play through the entirety of the Midgar section from FF7 Remake.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Launches September 7 on iOS & Android
You can now pre-register for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis on the official website, as well as check additional information about the different story paths available at launch. Over one million players have already registered, granting exciting awards and items at launch. Attendees of San Diego Comic-Con 2023 had the chance to play the game, which left many satisfied and exciting impressions. A new trailer was recently released detailing the combat system found in the game.
Additionally, Square has showcased the available co-op features in the game, as well as the growth and enhancement options for materia, summons, and weapons. On August 17, a trailer highlighting the Chocobo Farm and its mechanics was shared. Finally, a trailer showcasing gear and equipment found its way to the Twitter account on August 18. There is no shortage of new trailers.
The game is scheduled to release for iOS and Android devices currently. No console or PC release has been hinted at, confirmed, or rumored.
Alongside Ever Crisis, the next installment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, is also close to release. The title is scheduled for Early 2024, exclusively for PlayStation 5 consoles. This remake allows for a new experience of FFVII for all fans, with Ever Crisis being a ‘true’ remake in the sense of keeping all story events from the 1997 original.
