Recently, Square Enix shared over a minute of the Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis version of ‘The Prelude’. This comes after a release date for the title was confirmed last night, revealing a launch date of September 7, 2023. Additionally, results from the Closed Beta Test (CBT) were posted alongside the launch announcement. A sneak peek at Ever Crisis‘s rendition of ‘Main Theme of FFVII’ was also shared.
This new rendition of ‘The Prelude’ is one of many new tracks that await players in Ever Crisis. The game is promised to be “another possibility for a remake”, featuring a 1:1 remake of all installments in the Final Fantasy VII Compilation. As of now, Ever Crisis is only scheduled to release on mobile devices, but it does stand to reason that it could make its way to consoles at some point in the future.

You can now pre-register for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis on the official website. Over one million players have already registered, granting exciting awards and items at launch. Attendees of San Diego Comic-Con 2023 had the chance to play the game, which left many satisfied and exciting impressions.
Alongside Ever Crisis, the next installment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, is also close to release. The title is scheduled for Early 2024, exclusively for PlayStation 5 consoles. This remake allows for a new experience of FFVII for all fans, with Ever Crisis being a ‘true’ remake in the sense of keeping all story events from the 1997 original.
