The Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War anime continues with Episode 21 as the Soul Reapers prepare for Ichigo’s imminent return. Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War’s new episode arrives soon with five more episodes to go during the second cour.
In Part 2 of the ongoing Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War anime, all-out war ensues between the Soul Society and the Quincies in the Seireitei. Ichigo prepares himself in the Soul King Palace for tough battles that will determine his ultimate fate in Bleach’s final story arc. Last year, the first Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War cour ran from October 11 to December 26, 2022 with a total of 13 episodes. In 2023, Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 continues the epic story with a second 13-episode cour.
Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 21 Release Date
Episode 21 of the Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 – The Separation anime will premiere on Saturday, August 26 at 8:30 p.m. JST across Japanese broadcasting networks. Outside of Japan, the anime is exclusive to Hulu in the U.S. and Disney Plus in the U.K, Europe, and other territories. The new episode will be titled Episode 21 while browsing on Hulu and Disney Plus, despite being the eighth episode for Part 2. Additionally, subtitles will be available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, and German.

Episode 21 Preview
Yachiru Kusajishi and Kotetsu Isane are attacked by Sternritter V, also known as Guenael Lee, while treating injured captains Rōjūrō Ōtoribashi and Kensei Muguruma. Guenael’s powers allows him to disappear visually and mentally from his opponents, making him an unpredictable foe. In Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 20, Guenael attempts to use these powers in order to kill Yachiru and Kotetsu, but another Sternritter V appears: Gremmy Thoumaeux. Kenpachi Zaraki returns to the fray and quickly defeats Gremmy, however.
The powerful Soul Reaper has no time to rest as Sternritters Candace, Giselle, Meninas, and Liltotto launch an attack in Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 21. Rukia and Byakuya also sense a change in Kenpachi’s spiritual pressure during the battle. They also sense a familiar spiritual pressure approaching the battlefield. Behind the scenes, Yhwach continues to plan his next move.
Finally, Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War is now streaming on Hulu and Disney Plus in select regions. Bleach fans may also look forward to Bleach: Soul Resonance, a new action game launching in 2024 for Android and iOS.
