    Tekken 8 Will Be Featured at Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live

    The Game Awards showrunner Geoff Keighley and game producer Katsuhiro Harada confirm Tekken 8 will be featured at Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live. Tomorrow’s presentation will likely include a new trailer for Tekken 8 alongside more updates for existing titles. 

    Tekken 8 had a big showing at EVO 2023 earlier this month. Katsuhiro Harada and fellow producer Michael Murray revealed Raven would make his return in Tekken 8, and the coffee-loving newcomer Azucena is one of the game’s original characters. Another reveal appears likely for Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live.

In a quote tweet, Geoff Keighley confirms that Tekken 8 will be shown during Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live. A new character reveal or overview trailer appears to be likely for tomorrow’s showcase, which starts at 2 p.m. EDT.

    Gamers can expect several game announcements and updates during Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live. The Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live showcase starts on Tuesday, August 22 with Geoff Keighley as the host. The showcase is expected to last one and a half to two hours, and Zenless Zone Zero, Tekken 8, and Mortal Kombat 1 are just a few of the confirmed titles.

    Gamescom 2023 is set August 23 to 27 at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. Games like Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His NamePersona 3 Reload, and Persona 5 Tactica will be playable on the show floor. Additionally, publishers and developers will share news about their latest games throughout the event’s duration.

    Lastly, Tekken 8 is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A release date has not been announced.
