SEGA revealed the opening animation for Sonic Superstars, the next major 2D Sonic the Hedgehog game. The opening animation harkens back to the 90s era Sonic as the blue blur and his companions face off against Eggman in an effort to stop his evil plans once more.
In Sonic Superstars, players may control Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose across various new stages. These characters are able to use new Emerald powers to move and attack in “dynamic new ways.” Once more, Sonic and his crew must stop Dr. Eggman’s sinister plans, and the villain is aided by Fang and a mysterious new villain. Additionally, Sonic Superstars supports co-op for up to four players, and fans can expect new LEGO themed DLC.
Sonic Superstars Opening Animation
The opening animation of Sonic Superstars may feel familiar to fans who watched the Sonic Mania’s opening and the Sonic Mania Adventures animated series. Tee Lopes and Jun Senoue lend their musical talents and score the opening theme. Moreover, Lopes and Senoue worked on the official soundtrack for Sonic Superstars.
