Bandai Namco has officially announced that Raven is returning to Tekken 8 alongside a newcomer from Peru named Azucena. The announcement comes from EVO 2023 just before the grand finals for Tekken 7.
Tekken 8 is the next entry in the thirty-year-old fighting game franchise, Tekken. While there isn’t a release date for the game, expect an official announcement and a final roster reveal to be revealed in the next few months.
Tekken 8 Raven and Azucena Revealed at EVO 2023
Bandai Namco first introduced Raven in Tekken 5. He’s returned to all subsequent games except Tekken 7. His attacks in Tekken 8 look to revolve around his ninjutsu techniques. He uses astral projection and duplicates to mix up opponents at a rapid pace. For those looking for a fast character to leave the opponent’s head spinning, Raven is for you. Tekken 8‘s first newcomer is Azucena. The game describes her as the “Peruvian Coffee Queen.” The trailer depicts her unmatched defensive option. She can dodge her opponent’s attacks without any trouble. Further, the trailer also introduced a brand-new stage set in Azucena’s homeland. Lastly, Tekken 8 is coming soon to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Bandai Namco will likely reveal more information about the game’s roster and release date over the next few months. Additionally, EVO 2023 is currently ongoing for the rest of the weekend.
