IzanagiGames and Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed developer Acquire have announced AMEDAMA, a new “side-scrolling, soul-shifting” action adventure game. AMEDAMA is coming to PC via Steam in 2023 with English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese language options.
In AMEDAMA, protagonist Yushin is killed right in front of his sister, Yui. Yushin’s soul is resilient, and he’s able to possess any body in order to find his sister and uncover the truth behind his circumstances. Yushin only has seven days to fulfill this quest before his soul vanishes, but he’s able to relive the same seven day period through a time loop. AMEDAMA’s setting is the final years of the Edo period, so players can expect 2D hack-and-slash action.
