Studio TRIGGER revealed a new Panty and Stocking anime at its Anime Expo 2023 panel, and the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann movies will receive revival screenings. More details about the upcoming Panty and Stocking anime were announced alongside the release of an announcement trailer.
During Anime Expo 2023, TRIGGER announced New Panty and Stocking, a brand-new anime series produced entirely by the studio. TRIGGER confirms that the rights to the Panty and Stocking intellectual property have been acquired from GAINAX. A new trailer was shown featuring the titular characters, and TRIGGER ask fans to anticipate this new anime. Moreover, TRIGGER reveals the official staff for the project in the trailer’s description.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Revival Screenings
TRIGGER will celebrate the 15th anniversary of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann with revival screenings of Gurren Lagann the Movie -Childhood’s End- and Gurren Lagann the Movie -The Lights in the Sky Are Stars- films. Both of these movies will be available in 2D and 4D at select theaters. First, Gurren Lagann the Movie -Childhood’s End- will open in 2D in Japan on August 25, and the 4D version follows up on October 6. Gurren Lagann the Movie -The Lights in the Sky Are Stars- will open on September 22 in 2D in Japan, followed by the 4D version on October 20. Lastly, North American theaters will receive the 4D films this winter, and Taiwan will receive 2D and 4D versions in October.
