Street Fighter 6 Exceeds One Million Players Worldwide

A major milestone for Street Fighter.

Capcom have announced Street Fighter 6 surpassed one million players worldwide across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The publisher also shared new artwork and a sales update for the entire Street Fighter series via its official Twitter account

Alongside the announcement of one million Street Fighter 6 players, Capcom shared new celebratory artwork featuring Kimberly, one of the game’s newcomers. A in-game “celebration gift” is now available in Street Fighter 6, so Capcom encourages fans to login and redeem it. Additionally, Capcom announced the Street Fighter series surpassed 50 million copies sold worldwide. The company thanks fans for their continued support of the Street Fighter series and most recently, Street Fighter 6.

Before buying Street Fighter 6, fans may sample the game’s World Tour mode by playing the free demo. The demo allows players to create their own World Tour character and enjoy an early portion of the mode. Save data from the demo does not transfer to the full game, however. Fortunately, a player’s newly created character may be transferred from the demo to Street Fighter 6. This feature will allow players to head straight into World Tour mode with their character’s appearance intact.

Street Fighter 6 players may look forward to extensive post-launch support including updates and DLC characters. Rashid from Street Fighter V returns in summer 2023, and newcomer A.K.I. arrives in fall 2023. ED and Akuma return in Street Fighter 6 in winter 2024 and spring 2024 respectively. Moreover, all four of these DLC characters will be Masters in World Tour mode, allowing original characters to learn their moves.

Lastly, Street Fighter 6 is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
