    Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Players May Enjoy The Game Without Playing Final Fantasy VII Remake

    Preparations have been made for new players.

    Square Enix shared another new developer comment by the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, stating that players may enjoy the sequel game without playing the previous entry in the Remake trilogy. New players will be able to fully enjoy according to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth co-director Motomu Toriyama.

    The official Final Fantasy VII Twitter account shared the fourth developer comment in a daily Q&A series. Motomu Toriyama is asked if players need to complete Final Fantasy VII Remake to enjoy Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Toriyama answers by saying that preparations have been made for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, allowing players who didn’t play the previous title to fully enjoy this new sequel. Specific details about these preparations were not shared, however.

    Ongoing speculation is pointing toward a Final Fantasy VII Rebirth trailer being shown at Summer Game Fest 2023 Live Showcase on Thursday, June 8. Thus far, four developer comments have been published, and a seventh question would land on June 8 if the daily Q&A series continues. Square Enix didn’t confirm the game’s presence at the showcase, but the company is one of the several partners participating in Summer Game Fest 2023.

    Geoff Keighley will host the Summer Game Fest 2023 Live Showcase on June 8 at 3 p.m. EDT from the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California. The upcoming showcase will feature new game announcements, gameplay footage, trailers, and updates on existing games. Over 40 partners are participating in Summer Game Fest 2023 including Bandai Namco, Capcom, Disney, HoYoverse, PlayStation, and Square Enix. 

    Lastly, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launches in winter for PlayStation 5 worldwide.
