    NieR: Automata Surpasses 7.5 Million Copies Sold

    Another major milestone for NieR: Automata.

    Square Enix announced NieR: Automata surpassed 7.5 million copies sold since its initial launch in 2017. The latest sales data for NieR: Automata includes physical shipments and digital copies sold.

    Roughly 500,000 copies of NieR: Automata have been sold since the prior sales update in November 2022. Six months later, NieR: Automata is seemingly preparing for collaboration with Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. NieR creator Yoko Taro also teased the collaboration on his own Twitter account.

    NieR: Automata first launched on February 23, 2017 for PlayStation 4 in Japan followed by March 7 in North America and March 10 in Europe. The game would come to Steam on March 17 followed by the Xbox One release on June 26, 2018. Four years later, NieR: Automata would come to Nintendo Switch as NieR: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition on October 6, 2022.
